Heartbreaker

Wow, it's been awhile. I did a post in October but it got deleted.

In short it stated that October 8th, Limpar Left for Osaka, Japan to teach for a year. It was very sad as we hugged good-bye because I know I will not see him for awhile, because my life will change very much and I may be somewhere completely different before he returns. Among his final words was something like "I'm proud that you're doing what you love and you're making your CD and all, but don't forget to live, don't forget to spend time with the bros"
Those words made me quite sad because it had been a question I struggled with all summer as I sacrificed time with friends to lock myself in my room to record my album, the question that plagued me was "Is It worth it?" I still believe it was and is, but I really take those words seriously and to heart, because without those fond memories, relationships, and experiences, I wouldn't have been able to make such beautiful songs. So, wee he took off and I'll miss him, but there is email and skype even with 9 hour difference I think.

Currently my CD is being mastered and artwork being designed, I've done my job, now waiting on others. This has been the biggest, hardest, and most intimate thing I have ever accomplished, and I won't feel like it's finished until I have the final product in my hand. I have to say in this little journal how much I sacrificed for it, because no one else will care to hear about it haha. I hope it is very successful and people enjoy the music. And hope that I can inspire someone, somehow. Website and myspace will be up soon.

October 26 I performed my song "Nina" at a cancer benefit in front of quite a large audience. I was so nervous!!! I've performed many times and good amount of solo piano, but this was a little nerve racking. I think it was because it was my own song, that bench was too high, and I was a little under practiced. I thought I did quite a sloppy job, but people seemed to enjoy it. I tell you, it was an agonizing experience.

Really fun time. weeeeee Got so much on the mind, I need some rest, I feel like my heart is going to stop beating soon. I can't die yet though, not yet.

I'll Keep it Safe and Sound

Wow, It's July! That's crazy! Well, we made our deadline! Trade-off finished filming the 30th of June right on Schedule! I get to come home today. I have to come back to Chicago on Thursday though to do some ADR with the actors then the rest is left to the editor!

It was long days with little sleep but an amazing experience as well as learning experience for all of us. Last Thursday a terrible thing happened. Michael Jackson died. I was told through a message and I let everyone else I knew know. He really was one of my favorite artists and I am NOT just saying that. What annoys me is that now people are starting to appreciate him and all that. I was excited to see his upcoming music and new tour. He was an amazing artist and entertainer. Because I loved him and others in the cast/crew- it really made us rather mopey- I got chills and all that. It was really making the overall morale a bit somber, but we had to block it out and focus to give our project the most of our energy. All in all we all ended happy and I can say for now that it is sad that he passed but I am so thrilled to continue to work hard as myself as an artist, and draw inspiration from him to continue to work hard. Now! I am so thrilled for this film. And if you want to see it, most of you will just have to come to a screening and/or festival screening it goes into, there will be limited DVDs I will be giving or showing anyone. This is meant to be seen on the big screen. But anyway! I had not only a fantastic Crew but a FANTASTIC cast as well! It was extremely exciting to work with these actors. I must say it is true what I heard about actors that they are very fragile people. You need to be their parent and guiding light in the production as a director. A bit high maintenance at times but we worked around those issues.

GOD seriously blessed this entire production. I hope he continues to bless us in the post production process with editing, sound, music rights acquisition, and financing. If anyone knows people who love to invest in creative projects please let me know and I can arrange a meeting with them. I hope this film will go as far as it can go, and be used as an effective calling card for each and everyone of our careers.

Also, I am super psyched to get home and to continue working on my other creative projects. I am going to continually be working to express myself as an artist every single day.

Kyosuke Himuro teamed up with My Chemical Romance's front man Gerard Way to create one of the BEST songs I have heard in quite awhile. It's filled with beautiful emotive melody and the song alone has given me a lot of inspiration and drive. The lyrics are beautiful as well. So much smiles right now - I want them to continue forever. I will be finishing a project by the end of July that has been going on for so long. Then maybe I can slowly put the saddened saturation sentiment behind and that album and move towards more smiles. Because My goal is to not only express myself in as MANY ways as I can, but like I was by this song and many other things right now, I want to pass on that creative inspiration and energy to inspire others to wake up and breathe and create art that expresses them.

Oh my goondess. It's May 30th! HAPPY BIRTHDAY LIMPAR!

I can't believe I let this much time pass by without an update. I've been so busy. A got a lot of un-detailed events I want to document that I'll use by hashing them out from last *real* update. I feel like I've said this before but when you have as many interests as I, it gets tiring and keeping up with everything is incredibly overwhelming. These are not in chronological order either.

-I finished Reading Death Note it was amazing (on 26 of 37 or anime now)

-Got the Orange box for $9.99

-Beat Half-Life 2

-Beat Half Life 1

-Successfully directed, edited, and delivered a professional looking music video that I'm quite proud of.

-Bought LOTS of CDs from Borders in a sale which entail

3 David Bowie CD's "Honky Dory" wasn't as good as I thought. "Alladin Sane" Has nice piano work. and

"Never Let Me Down" is A GREAT ALBUM. One of the best albums I've heard in my life. As apart of a whole album entity. It's from 1999 but sounds 80's-ish and instead of his usual high british banter voice, he uses his lower voice and the songs and album is a magical ride. But then again, that's not the first Bowie album to do that for me at all.

-Yanni Live at the Acropolos - Wanted that for long time.

and I think that's all the cd's!

-Got a SWEET Plethora of new programs and plugins for Film editing.

-Saw Star Trek, it was freakin' Cool.

-Went to ACEN that was the nerdest most repulsive nonsense I've ever seen and made me ashamed that I watch anime occasionaly. Why do people have to ruin good things?

-Shot test concept for future film project

-Filmed Green Screen test today

-Got a call to direct a film written by Scott Dunn and Produced by Sam Carmichael. I agreed.

-Had the first rehearsal with Scott and Bree, was fantastic. Definitley looking forward to this film. There still is so much to be done! I have to hit the script hard

-I SAW YANNI AGAIN LAST NIGHT MAY 29, 2009 at the SEARS ARENA! ABSOLUTLEY AMAZING. YANNI WAS JACKED TOO! SO FREAKING BUFF! AMAZING SINGERS. THAT SPANSISH DUDE WAS AWESOME AND LOOKED LIKE MY LONG LOST FATHER OR I HIS SON. AMAZING FEMALE SINGERS AND IL DIVO TYPE GUY AND FANTASTIC MUSICIANS FROM ALL AROUND THE WORLD.

AND YANNI THROUGH DOWN ON THE PIANO FOR "MARCHIN SEASON" AND "NOSTALGIA". I LOVE "NOSTALGIA" SO MUCH!

The had the curtain in front of them have awesome stuff projected and then individual players would be spottlighted so you would see a screen on an image but see them through the curtain as well. Was awesome.

A few of the slow songs and others brought tears to my eyes and through the music and performance had a lot of things be recognized to me, not only was I inspired but had my eyes opened to things that I just have been rather stupid about and lost sight of.

Sat next to two nice lady's you were bus driver's, one was polish and the one next to me was funny. God bless them.

Thanks to my parents too for taking me! It was rockin most definitley.

Due to the finish of second film Reflection and the music video I got fat! So I gotta take care of that and start taking my health more seriously. Because I can't joke around anymore with those kind of things. Seriously. I'll attack it head on though! I am moving to sleep more! That'll help!

The film I'm on is called "Trade-Off" It has to be shot before June ends. A lot to do!

I have money issues right now. Due to this film I won't be working much. Things are not only tight but gonna be rough and I don't know what I'm gonna do for money. Hopefully I can get a job SOMEHOW with lots of money besides Blockbuster. I just know had freaking DEJA VU while typing this post like I had before, WEIRD!

GLAY's new single "I AM XXX" is amazing. Unfortunatley didn't order it cuz I'm broke but I will, cuz I really want it cuz they speacial box comes with sneak peeks of things, and the music video is really REALLY cool. Love the song very much.

I need a vacation, not just a break, but like need to go somewhere, far off beach of mountainside for like one week to clear my head, sleep, and breathe.

All I am is exhausted and tired. Working so hard from one thing to the next. Blah.

Got work tomorrow. Blockbuster, BLAH not looking forward to it at all.

WOO! The first night and second day of the "Is It Monday" music video shoot is done!

The first night which was last night was sooooo awesome! Everyone worked together nicely, and thanks to my preparation, the crew being positive and taking my vision to a reality it turned out to be a very fantastic experience and yield a great result.

I learned a lot about light from this production and of its importance in film. Escpecially for this video, light MAKES the video, so ample time was spent preparing, positioning, and setting up the lights, and also due to the shutter speed we used, a lot more light was needed. This is the interesting thing, to our eyes it almost looked TOO bright from what I wanted it to like but because of the shutter speed requring more light for exposure, it make it look RIGHT on the camera. Furthermore, the power of lights was confirmed today when we turned a BLAND room into a gorgeous looking office space. But yeah, one night left and one last segment! Hopefully it will go just as well and look just as good!

Man, I may sound like a goober sausage saying this but I miss the days when xanga was the hayday - It kept you connected with your friends and interested in people and what they thought, new age social networking sites have everyone logging in waiting for someone else to make a move, is that comment there? Is that message there? HOW BOUT MY PICS?

Sigh.....Looking back though through time was a wonderful experience, - the human mind forgets things so easily I think it is important to document things. Nobody seems to listen to me much about that - it really is a great thing. Looking back today makes me realize some of the prime chances I had in a lot of areas, but perhaps I couldn't really have taken them anyway, - It's kinda sad but eh -

People are becoming more anti social with things like twitter, which to my understanding is the equivalent to the status update of facebook, - just barely making a sentence to say something. Lazyiness.

A little stressed - got my final cut for REFLECTION due on Thursday, there is so much work to do with that hopefully I can knock a lot of that out tomorrow and then the music video. I had to pitch the concept today and I don't have a good one, still lookin for location, and feelin nervous! Hopefully it'll work out! I believe it will though.
